MY TURN TO WIN release long overdue 2011 LP on KNIFE HITS
We’re stoked to announce the first release of the year is a surprise drop of an entire LP from Philly hardcore outfit MY TURN TO WIN. The band record their band-defining LP in 2011 and proceeded to go on hiatus afterwards, leading to the 10 song album never seeing the light of day.
Well now here it is, in it’s entirety, for you to to enjoy.
It even features guest vocals from Lou Koller of Sick Of It All fame.
The band has hinted at potential reunion shows, but either way, welcome to the Knife Hits family MTTW.
Emerging from the heart of the Philadelphia tri-state area in 2004, My Turn to Win is David Rosney, Jess Goldey, Justin Shepp, Len Carmichael, and Mark Antonio. Creating a signature blend of solid, high-speed modern hardcore, marked by tasteful breakdowns and anthemic sing-alongs.
Drawing inspiration from legendary acts like Kill Your Idols, H2O, Sick of it All, Gorilla Biscuits, Madball, The Promise, Blacklisted, and Suicide File, My Turn to Win channels the raw energy and spirit of hardcore's roots while infusing it with their unique contemporary flavor.
A decade in the making, My Turn to Win unleashes their explosive hardcore energy with the long-awaited full-length album, "Let's Die”. Originally recorded in 2011 and locked away in the band's vault, this ferocious collection of tracks has resurfaced to make its mark on the world. Arguably their best (and angriest) release, the album still holds up. “Let’s Die” can be described as “fierce, unfiltered, and louder than ever”. Years later, the band decided it was still worthy of a proper release. The tracks were remixed and remastered by Len Carmichael, breathing new life into the recording for this release.
